Podiatric Physician’s Guide to Recognition and Responding to Human Trafficking

The purpose of this presentation will allow for the participant to appreciate the central theme of providing a guide to the podiatric physician to recognize and respond to Human Trafficking. An appraisal of data, signs, and directive tools as found in the literature us provided so that the podiatric physician may develop their approach detect and assist victims of Human Trafficking. At this time the goal of this hour-long presentation is to fulfill the one-hour CPME requirement for podiatric physicians licensed in Florida, Texas, and Michigan.

For Florida podiatrists, no more than 8 hours (20% of the hours of continuing education required per biennium) of home study programs may be credited toward the licensee’s biennial continuing education requirement for license renewal. A test must be completed and passed demonstrating competency in the topic taught in order to receive credit for the course.
